HoH #1: The Box Exchange
Hey guys and welcome to your first HoH competition. I hope you all had great holidays. This is coming hours early, but no one will be able to send in until the designated time this was supposed to be posted (8:00 PM EST). Any send-ins before that time will not count.
Last week you all picked a box and received either a number or a unique power. What you received is what you own.. for now. Here's a little more information about each:
HoH Elect
One person received HoH elect. This person automatically has a 50% chance to become the first HoH in a vote against one other nominee.
Nomination Pass
One person received a nomination pass. This nomination pass is good anytime up to the final four and can be played within 12 hours after an HoH is crowned to guarantee themselves safety from pre-veto nominations. Once it is used, it will be disposed of.
Nullify a Vote
One person has the power to nullify one eviction vote at anytime before the final five. The host needs to be notified of whos vote the holder of this power would like to null out after the veto results but before the eviction vote deadline.
Veto Play Pass
This pass can be used to participate in a power of veto competition. The holder of this must notify the host that they would like to play in the veto competition anytime before the veto player announcement. If they decide they would like to play in veto before the nomination ceremony and they are nominated, their veto play pass will be saved as nominees play in the veto regardless. Six people will participate in each and every veto competition. The HoH, nominees, and three people selected at random draw.
The veto play pass, nomination pass, and null a vote can be passed on to another player via PM.
Now, onto the actual competition. Don't get too comfy with your box, because this challenge is going to be all about stealing from your fellow competitors. Each of you will send to me a list 1-3 of three other houseguests you would like to steal a box from. You can not steal from the same person twice. The order you will steal boxes in is the order you send in for this challenge. If someone accumulates 2 or 3 boxes and someone steals one, that person will take the one the that the multiple box holder has held on to for the longest time. So what is the significance to the 11 boxes that contain nothing but a mere number? All the other boxes hold numbers from 1-5. Whoever has the highest total sum from all their boxes numbers will be a nominee along with the holder of the HoH Elect for the first head of household. So along with the 3 people you would like to take a box from, I need a preference list 1-14 from everyone to determine the first head of household on the spot by a vote.
It will be revealed who steals from who in each of the three rounds and whether a box was obtained. Sending in quickly does make a difference as they get first pickings in all three rounds making it more probable that they end the challenge with boxes still in tact. The winner of the two passes and the null-a-vote will be kept a complete mystery. It will be revealed how many points each of you came up with and who got the HoH elect.
Any questions, please ask before the competition begins and before I have to go. Because this HoH directly effects peoples perceptions of one another, everyone is required to send in. Anyone who chooses not to send in will not steal from anyone and only be at risk to have their boxes stolen. They will also be at risk for immediate replacement before it is too late to do so. Everyone has 48 hours to send this in from 8:00 PM EST tonight, so all box steals along with preference lists should be in my inbox by Tuesday, January 6th at 8:00 PM. Remember, you can not send this in right now but must wait until the time I had originally intended to post it. Once we all are back in the jist of things, everything will become 24 hour deadlines and the game will pick up.
